Daily GW2: Asura Assault Squad

Odyl and FRR

Odyl Shatterpaw and the FRR Asura Assault Squad

This week in EotM is general is going to suck. I can tell already between a lack of decent commanders and the fact that Siege Jimmeh [SW] is primarily leading FR during the same time period I’m on and most of my fellow guildies of [CUTE] are either OG or FR. Shout out to [CUTE]’s Riley. I really shouldn’t complain though since I do have a Commander tag and just don’t use it. Put or shut up, right?

Still there are some awesomely hilarious things happening for the BL in EotM. In my case I came across the FRR guild running about EotM hunting OG and FR with a reckless abandon that was infectious and quickly drew me into their shenanigans. I have to admit the nearly all asuran squad were awesome. I mean how often do you see FR and OG zergs easily triple the size of this small group actually flee?

OK, that happened only twice, maybe three, times while I was running with them, but still…

The fact that a single small guild squad had both opposing teams hesitating before attacking says something to me. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye for this guild in the future.

Rev Charrma Mistpaw

My new Revenant for Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns is Rev Charrma Mistpaw. I had hoped to have the name Rev Charrma Mistpelt, but the name was too long. I suppose I could have dropped the Rev part of the name but I didn’t want to. The name has gotten some interesting reactions in game so far ranging from “Ew, it’s a revenant” (coming from a noble soul rezzing me in EotM, O.o) from “that charr Mistpaw scared him off” (“him” referring to Mad King Thorn, due to the event starting late).

The character is very similar in appearance to my beta character Rev Charrma, though I did use a makeover kit to redo the hair and some other appearance items that were bothering me.

RevCharrma - Revenant

I admit I speed leveled the character to level 80 using a scroll (to get to level 20) and Tombs of Knowledge (to get to 80). I still have a ridiculous amount of tombs left, though. Probably a good thing since I do have one more unused character slot.

Prove you know a lot about Destiny’s Edge

An interesting little dynamic event in Village of Shaemoor I ran across while playing my new human female warrior, Gena Redmane. I swear that this event didn’t exist when I first started playing Guild Wars 2 because I don’t remember ever seeing it before.  Could be I just missed it with my other characters. But then not likely given my penchant for scraping the world for every little nook, corner, and graphic glitch I can find on my human ranger. The wiki does indicate the event is buggy so maybe that’s how I’ve missed it before. In any case, a nice little find for myself.
